Listen to Your Heart, by Kasie West, is sweet, funny, and adorable. When Kate’s, the main character’s, best friend, Alana, forces her to sign up for the podcast class, Kate is skeptical. Rather than sitting in a studio, Kate would much rather be out at the lake. So when Kate gets chosen to be the co-host for the school’s advice podcast, she’s nervous. How is she going to answer calls and help with people’s lives? But when the podcast actually starts, Kate figures out she’s actually not that bad at it! But when she hears an anonymous caller who sounds like Alana’s crush, Diego. Trying to sway him towards Alana, everything seems to be going to plan. That is, until Diego doesn’t make a move. Kate and Alana are so confused, what happened? That is until Kate realizes that she might like Diego as well. As Kate and Alana agreed, “May the best woman win.”

Listen to Your Heart is adorable, a sweet romantic story. The story is wonderful, and will make you smile. Although I was originally very skeptical of the book, as I continued to read, I started to enjoy it more and more. The characters were well written, and the characters truly seemed real to me. Watching the progression of the story was captivating, and the story seemed to be moving at the perfect pace.
