Between her Ma’s sighs and complaints, to working all day in the rice field, Min Li finds little joy in her everyday life. But, the joy that she does find are her Pa’s nightly stories. But that’s still not enough. Min Li wants to help her family and stop her Ma’s complaints by bringing fortune and luck to her home. So, with the help of a traveling goldfish, and white rabbit bowl, and few other friends along the way, Min Li finds the Man in the Moon, and gets all her questions about life answered.
Where The Mountain Meets The Moon is a heartwarming book that has you on the edge of your seat at the end of every chapter. This book is perfect for read-alouds for classrooms, or just reading this in your spare time. Not only do students learn important lessons throughout this book, they also learn many Asian legends. Follow Min Li as she finds the answer to life, and realizes that fortune can always be found in your own home.
