I Funny
I Funny, by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein is a hilarious middle school novel from a boy’s point-of-view. Although this may sound like a typical “surviving” middle school book, there’s a twist. The boy, Jamie, is in a wheelchair. Although he is just recently getting over to being adjusted to his new state, he overcomes it with comedy, jokes, and laughter. Follow his steps, or should I say, rolls, to showing the world he is I Funny.
I Funny, is the perfect book for boys who just started middle school. I personally was laughing throughout the whole book. James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein, the authors, portrayed the awkwardness of middle school and the point-of-view of Jamie, the main character. The feeling of awkwardness, fear, and happiness reaches out and gives the reader a sense of the emotions throughout the book. Follow the journey of Jamie as he finds the true meaning of I Funny in the ongoing serie of 5.
